Are Asians the only ones affected by the coronavirus?

Race-specific viruses are the crown jewel of bioweapon technology. Governments of different countries such as USA, UK, Israel, Russia, China. They spend billions on biochemical research and the use of viruses for mass casualties. They are usually stored in high-security laboratories near populated areas.

Do only Asians really get sick?

Of course, the government will not report that they have created a virus that only targets a certain race. However, corona virus trends show that it causes certain illnesses in people with higher ancestry in East Asia.

For example, a Thai woman died in the middle of India. Strange that it didn't kill or affect the Indians around her. The Thais have many genetic similarities to the Chinese.

And a Japanese woman who never went to China also died in Japan. This means that the disease can easily spread outside of China, but mostly East Asians are affected.

We could see many deaths from the borders of the Yellow River to the Mekong, from the Cordillera to the Urals, if the virus was created with genetic bias in mind. This can be done in several ways.

The virus of this type is designed specifically to affect people of Asian origin.

The SARS-like virus has killed hundreds and spread around the world since it hit the market in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.

China's National Health Commission said about 30,000 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus.

Outside of mainland China, more than 150 infections have been reported in more than 30 countries and regions.

The World Health Organization has declared an international emergency over the outbreak.

Here are the places that have confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus:

  • As of February 7, 31,161 people have been infected in China, the majority in and around Wuhan.
  • Most of the dead were in the region, but officials have confirmed numerous deaths elsewhere, including in the capital, Beijing.
  • Two territories outside mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong, have also confirmed cases.

Sixty-one people aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship have been infected with the virus.

Data: Data provided here are published by the World Health Organization (WHO). We from Our World in the data found several minor errors in the WHO data - we fixed these errors, corrected them, reported them to WHO and are in close contact with colleagues at WHO. Here is the data documentation and the ability to download all the data.

Explanation for the high number of cases in China on February 17: You will notice a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases on February 17, 2020. As noted by WHO in its Situation Report 27, this is the result of a change in reporting methodology to include all confirmed cases, including both laboratory-confirmed cases as previously reported and those reported as clinically diagnosed.

This change in methodology only affected the numbers in one province of China, but due to the high number of cases in that region, it had a significant impact on the global numbers as well.

Thus, the large apparent increase in confirmed cases in China and worldwide on Feb. 17 reflects this change in methodology, and not an actual sudden increase in cases on that particular day.
