Nizhnevartovsk under coronavirus quarantine

At the beginning of April 2020, quarantine was announced in Nizhnevartovsk due to the detection of new cases of coronovirus infection. The authorities are doing everything possible to protect citizens and protect their health.

Why quarantine is introduced in Nizhnevartovsk

Quarantine in Nizhnevartovsk is a temporary restrictive measure. Introduced for the purpose of:

  • preventing the emergence of new infections;
  • preventing the mass spread of the disease and creating a high burden for medical personnel;
  • saving the lives of people at risk.

A tough quarantine situation is necessary to be able to overcome the peak of the epidemic and return to normal life. An example is the Chinese city of Wuhan, whose residents adhered to strict quarantine, thanks to this, a new increase in infections has almost stopped.

Reference!

The most common symptoms of coronovirus infection are dry cough and fever. When they appear, you need to call a doctor, do not leave the house until complete recovery.

List of restrictive measures due to quarantine in Nizhnevartovsk

On April 12, the city authorities signed a decree on the introduction of restrictive measures in connection with the pandemic. The list includes the following solutions:

  • mandatory two-week self-isolation for all persons who have recently returned from abroad;
  • mandatory self-isolation for those who have been in contact with infected people;
  • after the end of school holidays, students are transferred to distance learning;
  • many enterprises do not work or operate remotely;
  • Orthodox churches are closed to parishioners;
  • the restriction also affected the cemetery, you can visit them only for mourning events.

Rospotrebnadzor announced that the risk group includes older people over 65 years old and some of them have already become victims of the epidemic. Such people are advised not to leave their homes anywhere, even to the nearest store. That is why a group of volunteers was recruited in the city, which delivers food, essentials to pensioners at home. A prerequisite is that they are in contact with the elderly only in protective masks and gloves.

Important!

In April, in Nizhnevartovsk, it will be possible to take a test for coronavirus in clinics on a paid basis. If earlier only people who came from abroad or had accompanying symptoms took the test, now anyone can check the organization for infection with a new Chinese virus if they have any suspicions.

The first case of coronavirus in Nizhnevartovsk was detected on April 14, 2020. The infected was a 6-year-old boy who moved with his family to the city from Megion. He is currently in mandatory self-isolation with his parents.

How it works in practice

Unfortunately, citizens do not always comply with the measures that the authorities require of them. Two residents of Nizhnevartovsk violated the regime of self-isolation and may soon be sentenced to criminal liability.

These were two women of different ages. Both of them were supposed to be in self-isolation, but instead they left the house and went shopping.

For confirming the risk of people getting sick with a coronovirus infection, a criminal case was filed against them and has already been submitted to the court.

On a note!

Doctors recommend staying less in crowded places and washing hands more often in order to prevent coronovirus infection.

Since quarantine appeared in the schools of Nizhnevartovsk, many parents had problems against this background. First of all, this was due to the fact that not all families had computers or devices at home for receiving tasks via the Internet. For those, interregional support was provided and the issuance of the necessary equipment for training is currently ongoing.

Another significant problem is the use of Internet resources. Websites designed for study either take a long time to load or constantly give an error, so you have to spend a lot of time doing homework. The authorities have considered the complaint and are currently considering transferring students to double shifts in order to reduce the load on the Internet portal and, thereby, provide students with comfortable learning.

Data!

For the first time, the emergence of a new type of pneumonia became known on December 31, 2019, the infection occurred in the Chinese city of Wuhan. On March 11, 2020, the coronavirus was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

How long will this last

Currently, the number of infected people continues to grow in the city of Nizhnevartovsk, so there is no exact information about how long the quarantine can last. The non-working week and distance learning will last until April 30, 2020, but if the peak of the incidence does not pass by this time, then it can be extended.

Quarantine in Nizhnevartovsk is a mandatory measure aimed at preventing the further spread of the coronovirus infection. The authorities urge you to comply with it in order to avoid further infection and return to normal life as soon as possible.
