In total, there are already more than 14,000 people infected in Russia. More than 100 have died, more than 1,500 have recovered. Moscow continues to lead in the number of people infected with coronavirus: 8852 cases. During the day, a positive result for coronavirus in the capital is found in 1030 people. According to official figures, the number of cases in the Republic of Crimea is 29 people.
The situation with coronavirus in Sevastopol
For the entire period in Sevastopol 6 cases of infection with the virus. 4 recovered, one of the patients developed pneumonia. The first cases of the disease were detected on March 27 in 5 Sevastopol residents who returned from trips to France, Great Britain and Southeast Asia. Residents of the city, unfortunately, did not report themselves, and people from the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus themselves came out to those who arrived from abroad. Second case of infection detected
04/09/20 in a man who went to Moscow for treatment, where he spent a day in branch No. 2 of the City Hospital No. N. I. Pirogov. He returned to Sevastopol on April 1, and on April 7 he was taken to the hospital with suspected coronavirus. Currently, doctors are monitoring the health of 600 people, of which 23 are in isolation in the infectious diseases hospital.
The goals of the introduction of restrictive measures
Now in Sevastopol, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus. So, people who arrived from Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg are sent to a forced two-week quarantine. Schools are closed, higher educational institutions are transferred to distance learning.
Clubs, cinemas and other public institutions do not work. Playgrounds are closed. The entrances of residential buildings are regularly disinfected. All these measures are being taken to ensure that no new cases of infection with the virus are detected, and doctors can provide more qualified assistance to those who are already sick, without experiencing a shortage of equipment, including ventilators, protective suits and masks.
How long will the quarantine last in Sevastopol?
Quarantine in Sevastopol has been extended until April 19, due to the detection of a new case of coronavirus infection on April 9, 2020, while isolation was introduced in Crimea until April 30. The head of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, called on everyone who was on board the VZ 307 aircraft of the Red Wings Moscow-Simferopol airline, which arrived on April 1, to report about themselves. Hospital No. 3 named after Dasha Sevastopolskaya, in which the man was located, is closed for observation.
Thus, the self-isolation regime is extended until the end of the week. People are advised to stay at home, going out only to throw out the trash, buy food, medicine or go to work. In fact, every fifth Sevastopol citizen has a pass allowing movement around the city. Quarantine in the schools of Sevastopol has also been extended and, along with higher educational institutions, distance learning is practiced in them.
What now with the girl who escaped from quarantine?
On March 1, it became known that Ekaterina Repyakh, a fitness trainer from Sevastopol, who arrived from China, escaped from the city infectious diseases hospital on February 16, where she was sent by Rospotrebnadzor. By a court decision, the girl was sent to compulsory quarantine. However, the girl escaped quarantine in Sevastopol for the second time, informing, according to unofficial data, the woman in the ward that she was going to go to the Rostov region. The girl was put on the federal wanted list.
Having learned about this, a fitness trainer from Sevastopol got in touch, writing a post on the social network VKontakte, in which she said that she was kept in a hospital in terrible conditions in a ward with an iron bed, a dirty mattress and stale air. In such conditions, according to Ekaterina, she lived for 4 days, while there were no signs of SARS, and the first test for coronavirus was negative. The girl said that she wrote a statement to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor's office against the hospital staff.
In turn, the head physician of the hospital, Inga Matyazh, complained to the press that the girl behaved inappropriately, insulted the employees, sent them to certain letters, broke the glass, but promised that if the fugitive was found, she would be sent back to the infectious diseases hospital, while no longer on 14 days.
The story of Ekaterina Repyakh leaves many questions. Chief among them: "Are the actions of doctors legal?". But in view of the current situation in the world, when people encounter a pandemic for the first time and do not know how to behave, when a new type of virus has not yet been fully studied, the law will be on the side of doctors. If the girl voluntarily returns to the hospital, there will most likely be no consequences if she tests negative for the virus. If the girl continues to evade isolation, she is likely to face a fine. And this is at best.
At the end of this article, I would like to note that the main peak of the spread of coronavirus infection has not yet been passed. And the most effective way to fight the pandemic right now is self-isolation. Do not neglect such preventive measures as washing your hands and face.
Masks should be worn in public places and avoid touching surfaces. You can use disposable paper napkins for these purposes, as in China. And of course, the best solution now would be not to see relatives, especially the elderly, thus reducing the risk of their infection. In order for Sevastopol to have summer and an influx of tourists, we just need to stay at home now, because it is better at home.
