How Stavropol lives in quarantine

To date, our world has been swallowed up by the COVID-19 virus. As of April 13, 2020, there are 1,810,738 infected people in the world, more than a hundred thousand dead, unfortunately the numbers are only increasing every day. The virus does not bypass Russia either, every day, absorbing more and more people. In order to contain the spread of COVID-19, the authorities are taking various measures, one of these measures is the introduction of a general quarantine.

What does quarantine mean and why is it introduced?

Quarantine is a combination of various measures and methods aimed at preventing the spread of infections. Compliance with quarantine is provided by state coercion. The main purpose of the quarantine regime is to isolate people. Exclusion of mass gatherings, as this contributes to the spread of COVID-19. Quarantine is one of the few restrictive measures that our state uses.

Restrictive measures in the Stavropol Territory

As of April 13, 2020, in the Stavropol Territory, 74 people have been infected with coronavirus, 6 patients are in serious condition. The numbers are growing rapidly every day.

The authorities of the region are taking all possible measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Governor of the Territory has introduced a quarantine regime throughout the Stavropol Territory. Schools of the subject of the region are closed for quarantine, and students have been transferred to online learning. According to the official document, which was adopted by the head of the Stavropol Territory, the activities of retail facilities have been suspended on the territory.

Permits were granted to organizations that sell medicines and essentials. A self-isolation regime has been introduced, according to which people are forbidden to go outside their apartments and houses. Except in certain cases, namely:

  • The need for emergency medical and veterinary care.
  • Passage to the place of commercial activity (with a special pass).
  • Movement and travel to the nearest place of sale of food products and essential products.
  • Walking pets.
  • Taking out the trash.

Control over compliance with the regime of self-isolation is entrusted to the police, grew. Guards and private security, as well as volunteers and officials. Sanctions are also introduced for violations of the rules established by the Governor of the Stavropol Territory. For the first violation, a warning will be issued to the person, but for the second offense, you can receive an administrative fine in the amount of 1,000 rubles to 30,000 rubles.

How does this happen in the Stavropol Territory itself?

The largest number of infected people is located in the center of the region. If in the region, you can see the loyal attitude of the executive authorities for the observance of the regime of self-isolation, then in Stavropol the situation is different. Every day, patrols of the PPS are on duty along the streets of the city, as well as traffic police cars patrol the streets of the city.

Departure from the city is prohibited, as well as entry. However, people are negligent about the existing prohibitions, not understanding the seriousness of the current situation. So, since April 1, 14 residents of Stavropol have already been subjected to an administrative fine, more than two thousand people have received warnings. People received comments both for violations of self-isolation and for being on the street without personal respiratory protection equipment.

Reinforced raids are carried out on organizations that do not have permission to carry out activities during the quarantine period. All entertainment establishments are checked, including nightclubs, restaurants, cafes.

Schools in Stavropol are closed for quarantine, schoolchildren receive dry rations. They are being trained remotely. The unified state exam has been canceled for the ninth graders, the issue for the 11th grades is still being decided.

The general situation in the Stavropol Territory is getting better. People are taking to the streets less and less, observing the regime of self-isolation.

When will the quarantine in Stavropol end?

From April 6, 2020, quarantine throughout the Russian Federation was extended by presidential decree, the same thing was duplicated at the disposal of the governor of the Stavropol Territory. The quarantine regime has been extended until April 30. On April 10, in an online interview, V.V. Vladimirov (governor of the Stavropol Territory) commented on the timing of the quarantine. “If the situation does not improve, we will extend.”

The authorities of the Stavropol Territory are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of a dangerous virus. However, the numbers are growing every day and it is becoming increasingly difficult to contain the spread of COVID-19. Quarantine will be stopped after the peak of the epidemic, which in the Russian Federation is scheduled for mid-May. However, the authorities of the subjects are based on the specific situation in their region.

In order to overcome COVID-19, it is possible, first of all, with the prudence of citizens. Each person must understand that he may be a potential carrier of the virus. And by violating the regime of self-isolation, he endangers himself, his loved ones, the people around him.
