Coronavirus quarantine measures in Surgut

As of April 5, 6 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Surgut. Two patients have already been cured and discharged from the hospital. Despite the small number of patients, the authorities introduced quarantine in Surgut.

What restrictions are in place in the city?

In Surgut, it is strictly forbidden to hold sports, cultural, educational mass events. Quarantine does not allow everyone to leave the house. The President of the country and the authorities of the region have developed a list of persons who can move around the city in emergency situations. These are people who need medical attention. They must have documents confirming this fact with them.

It is allowed to take municipal waste to the nearest collection point. You can go to the grocery store or pharmacy, which are located as close to home as possible. You can walk dogs within a radius of 100 meters from the house. Children are allowed to walk with one of the parents, provided there is no contact with strangers.

People who work in organizations that support the life of the city can move about the streets. Like volunteers, they must carry documents with them. It is strictly forbidden to walk the streets for people over 65 years old, as they are at risk. If the need arises to purchase essential goods, pensioners are advised to seek help from relatives or volunteers. When symptoms of any disease appear, they should call an ambulance.

If a person arrived from abroad, then he must be in isolation for 14 days. On day 10, a swab is taken from the nasal or oral cavity for analysis. If signs of an acute respiratory disease appear, it is strictly forbidden to go to the medical center on your own, which is explained by the risk of infecting strangers. In this case, it is recommended to call a doctor at home, who, after examining the patient and taking anamnesis, will prescribe an analysis.

School camps in the city are closed for the period of quarantine. Officials are prohibited from holding face-to-face meetings with residents of the region, as well as business trips. Communication should be organized remotely. Debtors are prohibited from cutting off electricity and water. In case of late payment for utilities, penalties and fines will not be charged during quarantine. Visiting sick relatives in medical centers and social service organizations is unacceptable.

Tourist groups are forbidden not only to travel outside the city, but also to gather. One of the groups of children tried to return the police, which outraged the parents. At the moment, the prosecutor's office is investigating this situation. Quarantine violators face administrative liability and a fine. If a sick person deliberately spreads the infection, then there may be criminal liability for this.

The goals of introducing quarantine in Surgut

Quarantine was introduced to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Despite the fact that there are not a large number of people sick with coronavirus in this region, everyone must adhere to the quarantine rules.

 What works and what doesn't?

During the quarantine period, the work of theaters, cinemas, museums, exhibitions is temporarily suspended until further notice. The Surgut district banned the work of catering organizations and retail outlets that do not sell essential goods. Hairdressers, baths, saunas, fitness centers, beauty salons, sports sections, stadiums in the region are closed.

The authorities have decided to close shopping and entertainment centers. Despite this, the Stella shopping center continued its work during the non-working week. Local authorities and police responded to this. Now violators face administrative punishment and a fine.

Grocery stores and retail outlets that sell essential goods continue to operate in the region. There are also pharmacies and gas stations in the town. The region has medical institutions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other organizations that ensure the livelihoods of the population during the quarantine period.

When will quarantine end in Surgut: will it be extended?

The majority of residents wondered whether the quarantine would be extended in Surgut. Local authorities decided to introduce a self-isolation regime until April 12. But, the President of the Russian Federation issued a decree, according to which quarantine will be extended throughout the country until April 24. If by this time the number of infections with coronavirus infection has significantly decreased, then the city will gradually begin to return to its usual way of life.

Where to look for homework for city students?

On March 19, all higher educational institutions, colleges, schools and institutions of additional education were closed. Quarantine in Surgut schools is not a vacation. All students have been transferred to distance learning. They get their homework on social media or on the school website. Children learn new topics on their own. If they encounter difficulties, they can ask their school teacher for help.

Coronavirus in Surgut is spreading inactively. Despite this, local authorities strictly adhere to the quarantine rules and monitor the order in the city in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
