According to the latest data, about 2,000 samples were taken in the Voronezh region to detect COVID-19 in citizens. Patients with suspected disease and those who have already been diagnosed with the virus are under the supervision of doctors. Due to the threat of the spread of the virus, the local authorities decided to introduce quarantine measures in the region, which came into effect on March 28, 2020. All schools, universities and kindergartens are closed for quarantine.

Residents of the region who returned from abroad were issued orders from Rospotrebnadzor with information on mandatory self-isolation for 14 days.

After the end of the first week of quarantine, local authorities allowed some industries to continue working, including developers, road repairers, and chemists. Later, the ban on work was lifted from consumer services, which included, for example, dry cleaning companies.

The Regional Commission for Economic Security is ready to consider all incoming requests from companies to resume work in the previous mode, on an individual basis.

This scenario is possible if two conditions are met:

• if the situation with infected persons does not worsen in the county;
• if the companies allowed to return to work comply with the safety requirements of Rospotrebnadzor.

Will quarantine be extended in Voronezh

The Voronezh region is closed for quarantine until April 30, 2020. The decision was made by the local authorities on April 3, 2020. At the same time, the work of a number of enterprises in the region has been resumed. In order to prevent the accumulation of people in transport, the heads of enterprises were instructed to distribute the beginning of the working day in the time interval from 08:00 to 10:00 in the morning. Employees of the financial services of all enterprises are allowed to go to work to pay wages. The operation of transport of operating enterprises is allowed.

Private clinics will be able to provide not only emergency care, but also general services. Kindergartens remain closed. Duty groups work for children whose parents are forced to go to work.

Employers are entrusted with control over employees in terms of compliance with the self-isolation regime. The previously approved certificate form for employees has been changed. It will include the "routing" of the employee from the place of residence to the place of work.

Whether the coronavirus quarantine in Voronezh will be further extended depends on the situation in the region regarding the spread of the virus.

How is the educational process in Voronezh during the quarantine period

Quarantine in Voronezh schools has made certain adjustments to the educational process. The number of subjects that ninth-graders will have to take as part of the main state exam (OGE) is planned to be reduced from four to two. The possibility is being considered to leave only the obligatory ones - the Russian language and mathematics, and to cancel the subjects of choice.

This is due to the transition to distance learning with less strong preparation of schoolchildren. All-Russian screening work will be carried out according to the schedule of schools. They can be held in May and in a remote format, but so far no final decision has been made. Examinations for the USE will begin on June 8 and will be held in the traditional format.
