The situation with the new coronavirus in Samara

Coronavirus is a source of SARS, in which severe poisoning of the body and problems with breathing and gastrointestinal tract are observed. Has the coronavirus reached the Samara region?

In the Samara region 2020, a coronavirus was detected in a person who arrived in the city two weeks ago from Portugal. Also, a tourist infected with the coronavirus, who communicated with him, was admitted. Rospotrebnadzor announced this in the region. Three cases of coronavirus were recorded in Samara, in particular, among an AvtoVAZ employee and people who came into contact with him. Thus, 5 people were hospitalized with suspected coronavirus.

There have been reports of hospitalizations with suspected coronavirus

The infected were placed in the infectious wards. Just in case, there are more than 1.3 thousand ventilators in the region, 1053 beds are ready. According to the regional government, about 400 people in the Samara region fell ill with a common cold, they are observed by doctors. People came from abroad and are now in home quarantine.

In hospitals, 13 people who came from unfavorable countries were cured and sent home after a double examination. Also, a group of people with whom they communicated in the Samara region was identified. Contact persons are now under medical supervision. They have been tested and are awaiting the results of the study.

The number of visits to the doctor is determined individually during the entire quarantine period. If there are signs of SARS, a person needs to urgently arrive at the hospital. Medical assistance to all patients and persons with suspected COVID-19 is provided free of charge. According to the current legislation, there is no monetary compensation between sick leave and real wages if a person was in quarantine.

Important information! The elderly (over 60) are at risk. It is in such people that, due to the load on the immune system, complications that are incompatible with life are likely.

  1. Do not go to crowded places, use public transport as little as possible, in particular during rush hours. You also need to reduce the number of trips to shops and shopping centers, banks, MFCs.
  2. Ask your relatives or social workers to help pay utility bills, buy groceries or needed goods remotely.
  3. If your relatives and friends came from abroad and they have symptoms of SARS, do not contact them and ask them to go to the hospital.
  4. Wash your hands frequently with soap. Do not touch your face, nose, lips.
  5. Buy disposable paper handkerchiefs. Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing and throw them away immediately after use.
  6. Use wet wipes for disinfection. Use them to wipe bags, bags, gadgets and other items that you have been with you in public places.
  7. If you catch a cold or feel unwell, do not go to the clinic, but call the doctor at home.
  8. Be sure to follow the doctor's recommendations for the treatment of chronic diseases.
